Custom Gradient: a business card template in your two colors.
Custom Gradient is a digital business card template built from two colors you choose: the artwork band blends from one to the other, and the rest of the Apple Wallet pass is filled with whichever of the two suits the type: the darker under white type, the lighter under dark. Shown on its default teal and deep blue. On Pro.

What it is made of.
Until you pick, the gradient runs from teal (#00c2a8) to deep ocean blue (#0a4a6b), which is what the example shows. Your two colors replace those; the band is drawn on a diagonal, and the rest of the pass, behind your role, number and QR plate, is filled with the darker of your two colors (or the lighter, if the type turns dark). The name is in Helvetica Neue.

Who should wear Custom Gradient.
People with a two-color brand, or a strong opinion about color that none of the fixed designs match: agencies, studios, sports clubs, a team that wants cards in club colors. If you only have one color, Brand Color is simpler.
How it reads in a dim room.
Cardr judges the ink against both of your colors and uses whichever ink reads better against the worse of the two, so a light first stop cannot leave the name unreadable. If you meet people in dim places, make one of the two dark: with white type, the darker color becomes the background behind your details and around the QR plate.
9.5:1text contrast · 7:1 is the bar
Measured from the pass's own colors before you choose yours, by the WCAG contrast formula. 21:1 is black on white; the line marks 7:1, the bar for small text. This is a dark card.

The darker of your two colors (the lighter, if the type turns dark) fills the pass outside the artwork band, so your role and number sit on it.

Your card is made in Oxford first. Start Pro ($15 a month or $12 a month billed annually, with 7 days free) and switch to Custom Gradient in your card's editor. What Pro includes.
Custom Gradient, answered.
How do I pick the two colors?
In your card's editor, after switching to Custom Gradient on Pro. Your card page takes the same colors.
What if my colors clash with the text?
Cardr checks the contrast of white and near-black type against both colors and uses the stronger. It cannot make two pale colors dark, so the preview is worth a look.
Can I use a gradient on the free plan?
No. The free plan has Oxford; Custom Gradient, Brand Color and the other thirteen are on Pro.
