The short version.
Use Cardr for your own business card. Don't use it to impersonate other people, run a scam, or break the law. That's the gist.
Your card, your responsibility
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your card and for owning the right to use any photo you upload. We don't review submissions before they go live, but we will remove cards that impersonate other people, infringe trademarks, or are used to defraud people who scan them.
Acceptable use
- One card per person or business you actually represent.
- No impersonation, harassment, hate content, or illegal services.
- No automated scraping of other people's profile pages.
- No abuse of the magic-link system to brute-force cards you don't own.
Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't issue partial refunds for unused time, but if you think something has gone wrong, email us.
The free tier
The free tier is a real product, not a trial. You can keep your card free forever. Some advanced features (additional links, scan analytics, custom branding) are reserved for paid plans.
What we promise
We aim for high uptime but offer no formal SLA on the free tier. We back up the database regularly. We will never sell your data, run ads on your profile page, or insert promotional content into the cards of paying customers.
What we don't promise
The service is provided as-is. We're not liable for indirect damages from outages, missed connections, or data loss beyond the most recent restorable backup. Where local consumer law gives you stronger rights, those rights apply.
Closing your account
You can delete your card at any time. We can also terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Changes
If we materially change these terms, we'll email active users at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
