A printed CV at a fair is a genuinely poor artefact. It is one of four hundred, it is out of date by the time you have an offer, and the recruiter is carrying a bag that is already full. The link you were told to write on it does not get typed in.
Something that goes into Wallet in one scan is different in a way that is not about design. It is on their phone, next to things they use, and it is still there in March when they are actually hiring.
The updating matters more for you than for anyone else on this site. The card you hand over in October says “final year, Computer Science”. The version they look at in June says whatever you want it to say, because you edited it, and they did not have to do anything.

Free forever, and no card details are taken to create one. The card, the Apple Wallet pass, your page, the QR code and the two-way exchange have no scan cap and no expiry. There is a paid tier and this page is telling you not to buy it.
No. Apple Wallet is preinstalled on every iPhone and cannot be deleted. Android users open your page from the QR code and save you to their contacts. Nothing to download and no account to create.
No. It replaces the moment where you would have handed over a phone number or a scrap of paper, and it gives them somewhere to reach your portfolio. The CV still goes through the application system.
Yes, on the free plan. Website, GitHub, LinkedIn, a booking link and a location are all standard link types.
