Example Oxford is on the free plan

Example of what happens next: Marcus Bell scans Rachel’s card, saves Rachel to their contacts and chooses to send their own details back. The next morning at 9 a.m., Cardr Pro reminds Rachel to follow up, with the email already drafted.

The best HiHello alternatives in 2026 are Wave Connect, Blinq, Mobilo, Cardr, Dot and Uniqode. HiHello’s free Personal plan caps card and badge scanning at five a month, and that is a limit people hit the week after an event. Wave, Blinq and Mobilo answer that cap most directly; Cardr has no scanner on the web and lets the other person send their details instead. If you scan little and want both wallets, HiHello’s free plan may already be the right one.

Why people look

Who uses HiHello, and why they look.

HiHello’s users include many people who wanted one clean card: its free plan gives two cards, a pass in Apple and Google Wallet, and a simple editor. Professional ($8 billed monthly, $72 a year) adds analytics and enrichment; Business adds a directory and CRM connections for teams of five to 100. The reason people look elsewhere is rarely the card. It is the cap on collecting contacts: five card or badge scans a month on Free, which a single conference can use up before lunch.

What to check before you switch

  • The cap on collecting. Look for limits on scans, exchanges and saved contacts, not on how often your card is shared. The cap that matters is the one on what comes back.
  • Both wallets, or one. HiHello puts the card in Apple and Google Wallet on its free plan. Check that any alternative covers the phones you and your team carry.
  • What happens after the scan. A contact you collected and never wrote to is the same as one you never collected. Check who reminds you and who writes the message.
The options

6 HiHello alternatives, and their limits.

Each is better than HiHello at one thing and worse at another, in the order the options fit.

01 · You want the same free card without the cap

Wave Connect

Wave’s free plan states “Save unlimited contacts”, a lead capture form and both wallets, which answers HiHello’s five-scan limit directly. Pro is $9 billed monthly or $7 billed annually if you want branding.

Where it falls short for a HiHello user: Badge scanning and enrichment use credits ($2.50 each) and the paper card scanner needs Pro, so it is unlimited contacts, not unlimited scanning.

Price: $9 (Pro), per Wave’s plan documentation; $7 a month, billed annually (Pro). Read from Wave’s page on October 29, 2026. Cardr vs Wave

Blinq

Blinq’s free plan gives two cards with “Unlimited contact creation” and both wallets on every tier. Premium adds a universal contact scanner and contact export, and Business lists the AI notetaker, enrichment and native connections to 20+ CRMs.

Where it falls short for a HiHello user: Premium at $9.99 a month, or $7.33 billed annually, costs more than HiHello Professional.

Mobilo

Mobilo’s digital card is “Completely Free” and goes into Apple or Google Wallet; Pro is “$3 /month”, half or less of HiHello Professional ($8 billed monthly, $6 billed yearly), with a paper card scanner and lead tools.

Where it falls short for a HiHello user: Mobilo is built for teams first, and the card is made in its app or web app.

04 · You want the other person to send their details

Cardr (that’s us)

Cardr does not scan paper cards or badges on the web. The person you meet sends their details back through the two-way exchange, with no monthly limit on exchanges or contacts, every one kept with notes and tags and exportable. Scan paper cards free, as many as you like, in the iPhone app. HiHello’s free plan scans five a month, and Wave Connect’s gives 10 trial credits at one credit a card, both as published on October 27, 2026. Pro ($15 a month, $144 a year) adds the drafted follow-up and the reminder on the day.

Where it falls short for a HiHello user: Cardr has no CRM sync, which HiHello Business has. HiHello Professional is also cheaper than Cardr Pro.

05 · You want a free profile with a two-way exchange

Dot

Dot’s dot.Profile is free for life with a “Two Way Contact Exchange” and both phone wallets, so the people you meet send their details back without a scan.

Where it falls short for a HiHello user: The free plan keeps only the last seven days of insights; the scanner and export are $15 a month on dot.Profile+.

Pro: your follow-up, drafted.

Free

Wave Connect (unlimited contacts, both wallets), Blinq (two cards, unlimited contact creation), Mobilo (the free card), Cardr (no limit on exchanges or contacts, Apple Wallet) and Dot (free for life with a two-way exchange) all publish free plans. Which is best depends on whether the cap you hit on HiHello was scanning, exchanging or keeping contacts.

Cheaper

Mobilo Pro, at “$3 /month”, is the only paid plan here clearly below HiHello Professional ($72 a year billed yearly). Wave Pro is $84 a year, Blinq Premium $87.96 and Cardr Pro $144. If the five-scan cap is the only problem, a free plan without it is cheaper than any upgrade.

Who should not switch

Stay on HiHello if this is you.

  • You rarely scan other people’s cards, so five a month never binds.
  • You rely on HiHello’s two free cards, one for work and one personal.
  • Your team needs Google Wallet and a directory on one plan.
  • Your company is on HiHello Business with Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics connected.

If your cards need to feed Salesforce, HubSpot or Dynamics, HiHello Business connects to them and Cardr connects to none. HiHello Professional is also cheaper than Cardr Pro. Both put your card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet on the free tier.

Pick HiHello if…

  • Five scans a month is plenty
  • Two free cards matter
  • HiHello Business with your CRM

  • You want the other person to send their details
  • A free card, no contact limit
  • Pro drafts your follow-up

Switching

Leaving HiHello in five steps.

The full checklist is in how to switch digital business cards, and every comparison is in the comparison hub.

  1. Export your contacts from HiHello as a CSV before you cancel anything, and keep the file. Cardr, like most products here, does not import from other products.
  2. Make the free card you are moving to, and add it to your Wallet.
  3. Rewrite your NFC tag if it can be rewritten, so it opens your new link. Ask the vendor if you are not sure.
  4. Update your email signature and your LinkedIn link, and anything printed with a QR code.
  5. Run both for a week. Anyone who saved your old card keeps it; it simply stops being the one you hand out. Cancel HiHello when the new one has earned its place.
The card itself: about a minute.

HiHello’s prices on this page: hihello.com/pricing, read October 29, 2026. Professional $8 billed monthly, or $6 a month billed yearly ($72 a year). Business $6 per user billed monthly, or $5 per user a month billed yearly ($60 per user a year), with a five-seat minimum. Enterprise is quoted.

Questions

HiHello alternatives, answered.

Every price here was read from the vendor’s own page, most recently on October 29, 2026.

What is the best HiHello alternative?

It depends what sent you looking. Wave Connect if you want the same free card without the cap; Blinq if you want more card and some AI; Mobilo if you want to pay as little as possible. The full list, with where each falls short, is above.

Why do people leave HiHello?

HiHello’s free Personal plan caps card and badge scanning at five a month. That cap is on collecting contacts, which is the part people actually hit, and it is the usual reason somebody starts looking.

What is the best HiHello alternative for teams?

Among the options here, by published team price: Wave Teams ($5 per user a month, billed annually, from 3), Blinq Business ($4.99 per card a month, billed annually, from 5), Mobilo Teams ($4 per card a month, billed annually), Dot Teams Essential ($8 per member a month, billed annually) and Uniqode Team ($6 per user a month, billed annually). Cardr Teams is $49 a month for 5 people, then $10 each. Check each plan’s minimum against your team.

Does HiHello charge per scan or per lead?

We found no per-scan or per-lead charge on HiHello’s pricing page on October 29, 2026. Among the alternatives, Wave lists “$2.50 per credit” and Blinq lists “$9.99 per lead captured and enriched. Credit consumption is billed monthly.”. Cardr has no per-use charges.

Can I export my contacts from HiHello?

HiHello’s pricing page did not say on October 29, 2026; check its help center before you cancel. Export before you cancel anything. Cardr exports every contact to CSV or vCard on the free plan, and does not import from other products.

Which HiHello alternative works without an app?

Cardr needs no app on either side: you make the card on the web, the pass sits in Apple Wallet, and the person you meet opens your page in their browser. Uniqode: “Sharing or receiving Uniqode business cards does not require installing an app.” (pricing FAQ)

Which HiHello alternatives sell NFC cards, and for how much?

Wave ($23 (NFC card) to $53 (metal NFC card)), Blinq ($24.99 to $79.99), Mobilo ($19.99 to $139.00 list, with promotional prices shown) and Dot (£31 to £102, as shown to a UK visitor), as published. Cardr sells none; any NFC tag you own can open your cardr.co link.

Is there a free HiHello alternative without the scan limit?

Wave Connect’s free plan saves unlimited contacts (badge scanning and enrichment use credits). Blinq’s free plan lists “Unlimited contact creation”. Cardr’s free plan has no limit on exchanges or contacts, but no paper card or badge scanner on the web.

What is cheaper than HiHello Professional?

Mobilo Pro at “$3 /month”. Wave Pro ($7 a month billed annually), Blinq Premium ($7.33) and Cardr Pro ($12 billed annually) all cost more than HiHello’s $6 a month billed yearly.

Does HiHello limit how many cards I can scan?

Yes, on Free: HiHello’s pricing page caps card and badge scanning at five a month on the free Personal plan. Its paid plans lift it.

Is Cardr a good HiHello alternative?

Cardr does not scan paper cards or badges on the web. The person you meet sends their details back through the two-way exchange, with no monthly limit on exchanges or contacts, every one kept with notes and tags and exportable. Scan paper cards free, as many as you like, in the iPhone app. HiHello’s free plan scans five a month, and Wave Connect’s gives 10 trial credits at one credit a card, both as published on October 27, 2026. Pro ($15 a month, $144 a year) adds the drafted follow-up and the reminder on the day. Cardr has no CRM sync, which HiHello Business has. HiHello Professional is also cheaper than Cardr Pro.
