Your Cardr as a signed Wallet pass, in Oxford, the free design. Below: six alternatives, each read from its own pages on 12 October 2026.

Switching digital business cards takes minutes, not a migration. Make a free Cardr, add it to your Wallet, and hand that out instead. Export your contacts from the old tool first; anyone who saved your old card keeps it. Cardr is free for the card, and Pro, the follow-up done for you, is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed annually.

The six

What each one leads with, and why people leave.

Read off each vendor’s own homepage and pricing page on 12 October 2026. The reason people look elsewhere is rarely that a product is bad. It is one specific friction, and it is worth knowing which one before you switch.

Six alternatives, as each published itself on 12 October 2026
ProductLeads withEntry price, as publishedWhy people look elsewhereCompared
Blinq “The AI contacts platform for the real world” source From $9.99/mo source Blinq’s paid tier starts at $9.99 a month and the product is built around a CRM. If you do not run one, you are paying for the integration layer and using the card. Cardr vs Blinq
HiHello “Professional Presence and Lead Capture” source From $6/mo source HiHello’s free Personal plan caps card and badge scanning at five a month. That cap is on collecting contacts, which is the part people actually hit, and it is the usual reason somebody starts looking. Cardr vs HiHello
Popl “Your AI GTM platform for in-person events” source From £5.99/mo source Popl sells an individual plan in its app, at a lower price than Cardr Pro. Popl does not publish a team price. To find out what a team plan costs you book a demo or “Request Pricing”, which is the right model for a fifteen-person stand and the wrong one for a person who wants a card this afternoon. Cardr vs Popl
Wave Connect “The easiest way to create and share your digital business card.” source From $7/mo source Wave’s free tier is one of the most generous in the category, so people rarely leave over price. They look elsewhere for one of two reasons. The paper-card and badge scanning with enrichment is paid by the credit, at “$2.50 per credit”, on top of the plan. Or they want the follow-up written from what was actually said, rather than a template triggered “the moment you connect”. Cardr vs Wave
Mobilo “Digital Business Card for teams” source From $3/mo source Mobilo is built for teams. Its homepage leads with “Digital Business Card for teams”, team cards are priced per seat on top of the card, and its custom landing pages and white-glove onboarding need 100 seats or more. One person who wants a card and a follow-up can find more there than they need. Cardr vs Mobilo
Linq “Build robust messaging capabilities in minutes” source Not published source Linq’s own pages do not publish the price of the subscription its cards need. The shop says “All products require an active subscription before activating to your account”, and linqapp.com itself now leads with a messaging API for developers, so finding what a card costs each month takes more than one visit. Cardr vs Linq

Every cell was read from the vendor’s own pages on 12 October 2026 and is quoted, not summarised from memory. Prices are in the currency each page showed: US dollars, where a price was shown at all. The full sources and dates are on each comparison page. If something has moved, tell us and we will correct it.

Switching

What moves, and what stays behind.

Nothing about switching is irreversible, and the one thing worth doing before you start is exporting your contacts from the old tool.

Switching to Cardr: what moves, and what does not
WhatWhen you switchWhat to do
Your contacts Move, if your old tool exports them Export them from the old product before you cancel. Blinq, for one, lists “Export contacts” on its Premium plan. Cardr does not import from other products, so keep that file; anyone you saved to your phone’s own contacts is already yours.
Your card in other people’s phones Stays as it is A contact someone saved is a copy. It does not change and it does not move. From now on you hand out your Cardr instead.
Your link and QR code New Your card lives at cardr.co/yourname. Swap it into your email signature, your social profiles and anything printed.
Your Wallet pass New Add your Cardr to Apple Wallet on an iPhone or Google Wallet on Android, and remove the old pass when you are ready.
An NFC card or tag Sometimes If the tag can be rewritten, point it at your cardr.co address. Ask your old vendor whether theirs can. Cardr sells no NFC cards; Cardr Metal carries a QR code.
Leaving Cardr later Everything comes with you Every contact, with your notes and tags, exports to CSV or vCard at any time, on the free plan as well as Pro.
Questions

Switching, answered.

What is the best alternative to a digital business card app?

It depends on why you are leaving. For CRM sync, Blinq or Mobilo. For the most on a free tier, Wave Connect. For a simple card on both wallets, HiHello. For event lead capture with a team, Popl. For NFC hardware from the same company, Linq, Mobilo, Blinq or Wave Connect. For the follow-up after the conversation, Cardr. Each comparison page above says where that product beats us.

Can I move my contacts to Cardr?

Not by import: Cardr does not import contacts from other products. Export them from your old tool before you cancel and keep that file. From the day you switch, everyone who exchanges details with you lands in your Cardr contacts, with notes and tags, and exports to CSV or vCard on the free plan.

Will people who saved my old card lose me?

No. A saved contact is a copy in their phone, and it stays there. It simply stops being the card you hand out.

Is there a free alternative?

Yes. Cardr’s card is free forever: the signed Apple Wallet pass, your page at cardr.co/yourname, the QR code and the two-way exchange, with no scan cap and no card details taken. Pro, which does the follow-up for you, is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed annually.

How long does switching take?

About a minute to make the card and add it to your Wallet. The rest is swapping your new link into the places the old one was.
