Brand Color: a business card template in your color.
Brand Color is a digital business card template that fills the whole Apple Wallet pass with one color you choose, usually your logo's. Cardr then sets the type in white or near-black, whichever reads better on that color. Until you choose, it is a plain light card. It is on Pro.

What it is made of.
With no color chosen, a near-white ground (#fbfbfd to #f4f4f6) with a short dark rule above your name, which is what the example here shows. Once you enter a hex value, the pass background becomes that color edge to edge, and your card page and its preview art take it too, with a soft light-to-shadow wash and a large faint initial. The ink is decided by measured contrast, not by a lightness cut-off, so an orange or a teal gets near-black type where a crude rule would have put white.

Who should wear Brand Color.
Businesses that already have a color people recognize: a trade with a liveried van, a studio, a shop, a team that wants every card to match the website. If your brand color is pale or very bright, check it on the preview first; the card is going to be that color all over.
How it reads in a dim room.
It depends on your color, and Cardr does the arithmetic for you: the type is whichever of white or near-black has more contrast against it. A mid-tone brand color is the one case to watch, since neither ink can reach the ratios the dark designs get. The QR code is unaffected, because Wallet always draws it on its own white plate.
15.7:1text contrast · 7:1 is the bar
Measured from the pass's own colors before you choose yours, by the WCAG contrast formula. 21:1 is black on white; the line marks 7:1, the bar for small text. This is a light card.

Brand Color ships as Wallet's plain layout rather than an artwork band: your name is set by Wallet as live text, which is why a very long name is shortened to first and last name on the front and given in full on the back.

Brand Color, answered.
Can I use my exact brand hex code?
Yes. You enter the hex value in your card's editor, and the pass and your card page both take it.
What if my brand color is light?
The type turns near-black. Cardr measures the contrast of both inks against your color and uses the stronger one, and your card page's art follows the same rule, so the page and the pass always match.
Can I use two colors?
That is Custom Gradient, which builds the card from two colors you choose. Brand Color takes one.
