    Many states expect a producer’s license number on what they hand out. Put it on the card once so you never have to explain it at a booth.

  • Ask about their book, not their carrier

    Agents and brokers remember the conversation about who they write and where they are short of markets. That is the note worth keeping.

  • Separate prospects from peers

    Insurance events mix carriers, vendors and other agents. Tag each person as you go, so the follow-up to a carrier rep does not read like the one to a possible client.

Two of the best known are InsureTech Connect in Las Vegas and RIMS RISKWORLD for risk managers. We could not confirm 2027 dates for either on its official site when we checked, so neither is in the table yet.

Which insurance conferences are best for agents?

The Big “I” Legislative Conference for independent agents, NABIP’s convention for health and benefits, MDRT for life producers who qualify, and your agency system’s user conference.

Is RIMS RISKWORLD 2027 confirmed?

RIMS’s site named New Orleans and a registration date for 2027 when we checked, but not the conference dates, so we have left it out until the dates are published.
